Located in the heart of beautiful Bay Bulls, twenty minutes from downtown St. John’s. Our Inn is situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean, where icebergs and whales tumble gracefully and life seems to slow down to a more reasonable pace.
From the Airport
(approximately 30 minutes driving)
- Take a left from the terminal access road to Portugal Cove Road.
- After about a kilometer, take a right to access the Trans-Canada Highway West.
- 14 kilometers later take exit 41B to Mount Pearl (Pitts Memorial Drive).
- After about 5 kilometers take the exit to Route 3 and turn right (sign for Goulds/Witless Bay) onto Robert E Howlett Memorial Drive.
- Follow this road straight all the way to Bay Bulls (about 16 kilometers).
- Coming down the hill into Bay Bulls take the third left onto St. John’s Road.
- After about 500 meters there will be a 3-way stop.
- Take a left past the church onto Northside Road.
- Follow this road to the Bread and Cheese Country Inn.
From the Port aux Basques Ferry
(approximately 10 hours driving)
- Take the Trans-Canada Highway east for about 850 km.
- Take exit 37 (Witless Bay Line) for about 20 km.
- At the end take a left onto the Southern Shore Highway.
- Take the second right (about 1 km) onto Southside Road.
- About 1km later there will be a 3-way stop.
- Take a right onto Northside Road past the church.
- Follow this road to the Bread and Cheese Country Inn.
From the Argentia Ferry
(approximately 2 hours driving)
- Follow Charter Road to Route 100 and continue following all the way to the Trans-Canada Highway (about 50 km).
- Take a right onto the Trans-Canada Highway East.
- Follow this for about 40 km and take exit 37 (Witless Bay Line).
- At the end take a left onto the Southern Shore Highway.
- Take the second right (about 1 km) onto Southside Road.
- About 1 km later there will be a 3-way stop.
- Take a right onto Northside Road past the church.
- Follow this road to the Bread and Cheese Country Inn.
